Get to know the role

  • Job Title: Brand Services Project Manager (Bilingual Japanese/English) - 18-month Fixed-Term Contract
  • Job Summary: This role will organize, manage, and deliver projects/programs for the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of the global licensing project, proactively address any emerging concerns before they develop into problems. 
  • Ensure project deadlines are met by maintaining clear communication, by following up when responses are delayed, and by building trust with stakeholders across offices. 
  • Work closely with the team members and translate the documents to/from English-Japanese language for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and communicates with the manager and team members accordingly.
  • Engage in strategic thinking, creative execution and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
  • Play a key role in managing exciting end-to-end international projects with top-tier/cutting-edge brands. Communicates and collaborates with US & UK-based Licensing teams and partners in APAC region.

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Bilingual with excellent written and verbal business communication proficiency in both English and Japanese. Solid understanding of Japanese culture and business customs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and ability to work effectively in team environments.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
  • Background in account management in an agency setting is a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience in licensing business is desirable.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $105,000.00 - $124,450.00 per year. The full range is $105,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
