We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Finance Analyst to support our MICE/Experiences division. This role requires deep financial insight into group travel and event-based operations, with a focus on file-level profitability, cost tracking, liability management, and revenue optimization. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business teams to ensure financial discipline and timely closure of operational files.
Key Responsiblities:
MISE Group/File-Wise Financial Closure: Ensure timely and accurate financial closure of all MISE files. Validate bookings, invoices, and vendor payments against expected cost estimates.Coordinate with operations to collect all necessary documentation for closure.Maintain a real-time view of liabilities for each group/event. Monitor advances paid and ensure proper reconciliation with final settlements. Liaise with vendors for balance confirmations and dispute resolutions.
Pre-Departure/Post-Departure Monitoring: Monitor financial aspects of each group pre-departure (advance payments, cost estimates). Post-departure, ensure actual costs are captured and matched with accrued revenue. Prepare file-level P&L and report key observations to stakeholders.
In/Out of Money Analysis: Perform "in-the-money" / "out-of-the-money" analysis to assess file profitability. Highlight early warnings on low profitability file making files or cost overruns. Work with sales and operations to drive corrective actions.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports on group-level performance, open liabilities, and revenue recognition. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies.Assist with audits and internal reviews as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or similar).
2–5 years of experience in business finance, preferably in travel, hospitality, or event management industries.
Strong understanding of revenue and cost structures in MISE operations.
