Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Planning Manager. You will be a key part of the Sports & Portfolio Strategies unit at Sportradar, working closely with multiple other business units at the core of the company rights acquisition processes in order to: 

  • Drive and support decision-making and business planning by collecting and consolidating input from our Product and Commercial verticals.  
  • Deliver comprehensive business plans for content acquisitions as well as deal by deal documentation to ensure formal approval by SRAD senior leadership. 
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of SRAD’s rights acquisition budget to ensure that the company’s content strategy is aligned to its growth and profitability ambitions. 
  • Take an active role in specific projects to enhance SRAD capabilities in data analytics to ensure all decisions made are backed by data insights and strategic analysis. 

THE CHALLENGE: 

Content Acquisition Business Planning 

  • Prepare business plans for content acquisitions, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Commercial, and Partnerships) to gather necessary input and insights. 
  • Ensure all content acquisition proposals are aligned with strategic business goals and presented in a clear, concise manner. 
  • Review and analyze content opportunities, ensuring that business plans reflect the financial viability and/or strategic importance of each content acquisition. 
  • Monitor and track the progress of content acquisition plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and strategic goals. 
  • Ensure that content proposals are effectively communicated, with accurate financial modelling and business insights. 
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on potential content acquisitions, highlighting key metrics, risks, and opportunities. 

Stakeholder Management and Alignment 

  • Act as a liaison between multiple stakeholders (internal teams, leadership, and external partners) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of content acquisition processes. 
  • Manage communication and collaboration between product, commercial, and finance teams to ensure all necessary data and insights are gathered for content decisions. 

Financial Analysis and Reporting 

  • Provide financial and operational analysis & insights on content that is well-supported by business cases, budgets, and reports. 
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure that financial insights are accurately reflected. 
  • Support the preparation of ad hoc reports and analyses for senior leadership as required. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of content acquisition processes, suggesting changes or optimizations to enhance efficiency. 

YOUR PROFILE: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required. 
  • 2 years of experience in a business planning, finance, or analytical role, ideally in a high-growth, multinational organization. 
  • Intermediate understanding of finance, including the ability to conduct basic financial analysis and create budgets and forecasts. 
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret complex data, identify key trends, and deliver actionable recommendations. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience with content acquisition or portfolio management is a plus but not required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus. 
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken). 

Estimated Salary Range
