WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week. While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments are also critical to managing relationships with television and digital media partners, developing marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, and running the business operations and transformation for the League's leadership. The WNBA is seeking an experienced individual to support a broad range of activities to provide assistance with effectively executing different needs for the Office of the WNBA Commissioner. This includes internal and external communication and writing, process design for human capital and capital spending projects, presentation building, and strategic Commissioner prep. In this role, you will help support the strategic direction of the WNBA and stakeholder management. You will work within the Office of the WNBA Commissioner, alongside the Business Transformation Director, and Commissioner's Executive Assistant, to manage change, create processes for business growth, and champion initiatives at the WNBA. Major Responsibilities: Develop documents for Commissioner's meetings with internal and external stakeholders Execute priority stakeholder management for tentpole events (e.g. WNBA All Star) including ticketing and communication of hospitality opportunities. Own identified change management projects, such as quarterly reporting processes and capital spending project management Work closely with the Head of Finance and Operations on specific projects that overlap with Office of the WNBA Commissioner Maintain alignment on strategic goals with senior leadership of cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Distribution, etc.) by providing clear verbal and written context Work with the Office of the Commissioner team to plan leadership events (Board of Governors, Investor Day, etc.) and departmental off-sites Required Skills/Knowledge: A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant business experience Management Consulting, Banking, or similar Understand change management and business transformation frameworks Acute attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills Very proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability and willingness to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach Ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team Education: Bachelor's degree At the WNBA, we're passionate about growing the business of basketball.
