Job Description

WHY JOIN ALO?

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at ALO—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.

OVERVIEW

As the Manager of Buying for the GCA Division, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of one of Alo’s most strategic international regions. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and scale a growing business, partnering cross-functionally to build assortments and strategies that resonate with the GCA customer across all product categories.

Reporting into a Senior Buying Manager and leadership, you will support the strategy and execution across Women’s, Unisex, Men’s, Accessories, and Footwear for GCA markets. You will help translate global brand direction into locally relevant assortments that drive growth across both retail and digital channels. This role requires a balance of analytical thinking, strong product intuition, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

As part of a growing division, you will have the opportunity to contribute to foundational processes, influence key business decisions, and help support the development of team members as the organization expands.

At Alo, our in-office collaboration and culture are one of our greatest assets. We believe in being together to build strong team partnerships and cross-functional relationships; this position requires full-time, in-office presence.

  • Participate in seasonal hindsight reviews and help translate learnings into future assortment and buying strategies.
  • Represent the needs of the GCA customer and business in cross-functional meetings through data-driven insights and market knowledge.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing, Design, and Production teams to support successful product launches and business execution.
  • Support pricing strategies across GCA markets to ensure alignment with brand positioning and local market competitiveness.
  • Track launch calendars, delivery timelines, and operational milestones, proactively communicating risks and helping identify solutions.
  • Build a strong understanding of country-level and channel-level business needs across the GCA region.
  • Help mentor and support junior team members while contributing to a collaborative and entrepreneurial team culture.
  • Contribute to building and improving processes as the GCA division continues to scale.

  • BA or BS preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in buying, planning, or merchandising within apparel or fashion retail.
  • Experience across multiple product categories preferred; exposure to accessories and/or footwear is a plus.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills combined with a sharp product eye and trend awareness.
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
