The Engineering Team Lead assists the Engineering Manager with building high-performance teams by leading a team of highly talented people, ensuring each individual has the right environment and platform to succeed in their career as well as fostering a healthy team spirit and culture. To effectively lead a team, the Team Lead needs to have an active role as a hands-on member of the team, participate actively in the team's activities and take ownership of the team's performance.

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Building a team with the right mix of skills and knowledge through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Building a multi-brand Frontend Platform using MicroFrontends, Web Components, TypeScript, Reactive Programming (RxJS) and Playwright (for Quality Automation)
• Direct line management of people in the team, being accountable for their performance, satisfaction and career development planning.
• Driving and facilitating the team's delivery to production in terms of both time and quality, taking responsibility to ensure the team makes commitments and lives up to expectations.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and passion for quality in our products.

What we are looking for

• A strong Frontend Engineering background or Quality (with emphasis on Automation).
• Natural leader who wants to coach and inspire individuals to grow further in their career.
• A good understanding of Scrum and Agile. You are expected to both lead and coach on these subjects within the Team.
• Someone who can balance their day-to-day workload efficiently between leadership, software engineering and SCRUM.
