About this role

As a Census Specialist you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our Revenue Cycle Management teams by facilitating the transfer of authorizations between systems and providing administrative support to the Utilization Review and Revenue Cycle Management teams. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of our processes, supporting departments across the organization and delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders. Success will be measured by the productivity and performance of your daily tasks as well as your ability to prioritize completion of high-priority tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Review and transfer authorizations accurately and effectively between Salesforce and our RCM platform. Ensure that all information is entered correctly and in compliance with established standards.
  • Daily management of the Census dashboard to ensure accuracy, timely financial discharges and communication between departments.
  • Check, label and upload authorization faxes throughout the day to keep the department running smoothly
  • Provide administrative support to the UR and RCM teams including but not limited to organizing and attending weekly meetings, preparing documents and handling correspondence.
  • Oversee a ticketing system and collaborate with internal teams to answer incoming communication.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed, using a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Monitor termed insurance ensuring clients are discharging in a timely manner
  • Monitor day limits on policies ensuring clients do not stay over their allotted days issued by insurance.
  • Monitoring scholarships, presenting cases for leadership, and communicating with all stakeholders the final decision.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, communications, psychology or a related field
  • Experience in the mental health or substance abuse field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Salesforce
  • This position is in Nashville (Brentwood). Please note that members of this team who live within 45 minutes of a Charlie Health office are expected to adhere to a hybrid work schedule.
