We are looking for dependable Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our non-sterile compounding department. In this role, you will work alongside our pharmacy team to prepare compounded medications and help maintain and advance an amazing, modern, and innovative pharmacy service.
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will maintain accurate records, stay up to date with required training, and play a key role in supporting a safe, efficient, and impactful pharmacy team at the heart of delivering exceptional care to our patients.
In This Role You Will:
Adhere to site SOPs, USP <795> and <800> standards, and all state and federal regulations while following safety and environmental procedures, including proper PPE use during daily tasks.
Compound non-sterile medications and maintain accurate compounding records.
Clean and maintain the compounding lab and overall pharmacy work environment, including equipment and work counters.
Communicate with pharmacists, report lab-related issues, and provide quality assurance support to the Pharmacist in Charge.
Receive and verify delivered orders; restock medication shelves and supply bins; rotate inventory; remove outdated medications; and maintain accurate stock records.
Assist with record keeping and report efficiency metrics to the Pharmacist in Charge.
Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and active national certification (CPhT).
Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Availability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
1 + year of compounding experience or equivalent pharmacy experience.

Conditions of Employment:
This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
