Tennis South Australia (TSA) is seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for advancing tennis across South Australia while ensuring the operational and commercial success of The Drive and supporting the critical local partnerships for the Adelaide International. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring exceptional strategic capability, operational excellence, and the ability to cultivate strong partnerships across government, sport, commercial stakeholders, and the tennis community.
Key Responsibilities The CEO will: Lead the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of TSA’s strategic direction in partnership with the Board. Build and strengthen relationships with Tennis Australia, Member Associations, government, councils, clubs, and partners to support participation and deliver national priorities in South Australia. Shape and lead a high performing organisational culture that reflects the values of Tennis Australia and TSA. Oversee all operational and administrative functions within delegated Board authority. Provide comprehensive management of The Drive, ensuring strong operational performance, venue utilisation, and event delivery in conjunction with Tennis Australia. Strategically integrate and grow complementary disciplines (padel, pickleball, beach tennis, pop tennis) within the tennis network, whilst establishing Tennis SA as a leading authority for racquet sports. Support the Adelaide International through local activation, venue oversight, stakeholder management, and community engagement strategies.
About You The ideal candidate will bring: Senior executive leadership experience, ideally within sport, government, member-based organisations, or stakeholder rich environments.
Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills, with experience engaging diverse and complex stakeholder groups. Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, interpreting financial reports, and identifying revenue generating opportunities. Excellent communication skills, with confidence representing the organisation publicly, including to media. A deep commitment to governance, integrity, and community impact. While Tennis knowledge is advantageous, strong leadership capability and alignment with TSA’s purpose will be the defining factors.
