Assistant Color Designer

The Color Design Assistant is a key position that plays a crucial role in the team. This individual is the glue that helps keep all color information organized, enabling us to execute trend palettes that complement Alo’s aesthetic and design direction. We seek a proactive, positive person who is ready to share their unique perspective with a creative and collaborative team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create color files from designer sketches across all categories as directed each season.
• Maintain and update all color pages as needed.
• Stay organized: create and maintain physical and digital color libraries.
• Help set up for meetings and create presentation boards.
• Provide any color presentation materials at key meetings.
• Keep up to date on all materials and trims.
• Assist the design team with various tasks as needed.
• Take notes at key meetings.
• Print and mail materials as necessary.
• Work with product development and technical color teams to communicate any color updates.
• Meet with upper management to obtain color-related approvals.
• Work with color designers to develop seasonal trend color research.
• Distribute color swatches to specified team members.

• Interested in yoga and active trends.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to different work situations and surroundings.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Fashion Design
• 0-2 years of industry experience in fashion design
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to troubleshoot and general knowledge of Mac systems.
• Excellent craftsmanship skills.

The base salary range for this position is $66,560 - 68,000k per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
