We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Color Development Associate for Footwear. As part of our product design team, you will play a crucial role in the creation and execution of color strategies for our apparel and footwear lines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the aesthetic appeal and market competitiveness of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Color Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on emerging color trends in the athletic wear industry. Conduct research on color forecasts, consumer preferences, and market competitors to inform color development strategies.
  • Color Palette Development: Collaborate with design and product development teams to create cohesive and innovative color palettes for each seasonal collection. Ensure that color choices align with brand identity, target audience preferences, and market trends.
  • Material and Fabric Color Matching: Work closely with material suppliers and manufacturers to match colors accurately across various materials and fabrics used in apparel and footwear production. Conduct color trials and adjustments as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain color consistency and accuracy throughout the production process. Perform color inspections on samples and prototypes to identify deviations and ensure adherence to brand standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, product development, sourcing, and marketing to ensure alignment of color strategies with overall product objectives and brand positioning.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain detailed records of color specifications, swatches, and development processes. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to convey color requirements and resolve any issues related to color development.

  • Qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years in color development or relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Color Science, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for color theory, trends, and aesthetics.
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to discern subtle color variations.
  • Proficiency in color-matching techniques and tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High energy and a can-do attitude, with the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Resourceful and Proactive.
  • Team Player that brings positive energy to the team.
