THE POSITION

FanDuel is seeking a Commercial Manager to help take advantage of our current significant opportunities in the Racing wagering space and ensure we convert these opportunities to extend our leadership position for FanDuel’s Racing and wider FanDuel Group businesses (including Sportsbook, Casino, Daily Fantasy & Free To Play products).

The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Senior Director of Racing to help set and execute on the strategy for FanDuel’s Racing business and act as a key partner with the different group stakeholders to ensure that implementation is seamless & effective (including marketing, TV, product, analytics, customer operations etc).

This person will be customer focused, developing an in-depth understanding of different customer cohorts & how we can best support their overall experience to ensure we stay ahead of our industry competitors.

The role will help to ideate, deliver & drive performance of the overall Racing proposition to support the goals of both the Racing business & the wider Fan Duel organization.

The successful candidate will also be supportive in understanding the day-to-day business performance, helping to make both tactical and longer-term decisions based on internal & external trends & trajectories.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

Help define Racing’s overall customer proposition based on astute attention to detail & collaboration with our analytic business partners
Understand our various customer cohorts & deliver tailored propositions & strategies to maximize these differing groups
Have a deep understanding of how our customers experience the Racing product; deliver strategies to maximize value based on these experiences across both Racing & the wider Fan Duel business
Partner with key stakeholders across FanDuel verticals to ensure understanding, buy-in and successful execution of racing strategy
Ensure that the business remains focused on all elements of the customer acquisition funnel; this ranges from working with brand and creative teams to drive awareness of the product, through to delivering cross-sell propositions to encourage incremental behaviors across FanDuel Group products
Support the building and management of revenue forecasts in partnership with finance and analytics teams – understand how we can locate further opportunities & mitigate headwinds
Collaborate with the marketing team to set acquisition and retention targets (e.g., CPA, retention rate)
Influence business performance; monitor key drivers and trends, and work with stakeholders to positively impact these
Ideate potential new opportunities that could drive growth and build business cases to support them
Work with key stakeholders to deliver Tier 1 tentpole campaigns to maximize seasonal opportunities for both the Racing business & wider FanDuel Group organization

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Analytical field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial/analytics/customer specific roles preferred
Experience managing teams with multiple direct reports preferred
Strong analytical mindset with an ability to problem solve & find areas of opportunity/risk
Strong communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders across the business at differing levels of seniority
Preferred if the person is passionate about sport, racing and/or gambling with a sense of what is important to different types of betting customers
Understand the different components of a P&L
Ability to work in a larger company while working in a fast-paced startup culture; must thrive in navigating ambiguity and an always changing environment

The applicable salary range for this position is $99,000 – $124,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.

This role includes flexible time off (including unlimited paid time off for full-time employees) and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
