Alpine F1 Team has an opportunity within the Composites Department as a Composite Technician – Assembly & Trimming on a fixed term contract until the end of 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our composite manufacturing operation, playing a crucial role in the final stages of producing high-performance components for our Formula 1 race cars.

You will be responsible for the precision trimming, assembly, bonding, and finishing of composite parts, ensuring every component meets the exacting standards required for world-class motorsport competition.

The Role • Trimming, assembling, and finishing composite components in accordance with technical drawings, templates, and specifications. • Carrying out bond preparation activities and working with aerospace-grade adhesives. • Ensuring all parts meet required dimensional and cosmetic standards. • Maintaining high levels of quality and productivity in line with departmental expectations. • Identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conformances in line with internal procedures. • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple departments to meet production requirements and delivery deadlines. • Following all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times. • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within the working environment.

What We're Looking For • Proven experience trimming, assembling, and finishing composite components, ideally within motorsport or high-performance engineering. • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, templates, and trim instructions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional quality standards. • Experience using hand and power tools for precision trimming, drilling, and fitting. • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to perform under pressure and work to demanding deadlines. • Understanding of quality control processes and associated documentation. • Familiarity with composite materials, adhesives, manufacturing processes, and post-cure component handling. • Experience within Formula 1 or elite motorsport is desirable. • Knowledge of composite bonding and assembly techniques is desirable. • Experience working within a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment is desirable.

BWT Alpine Formula One Team competes in the FIA Formula One World Championship with Grand Prix winner Pierre Gasly and rising star Franco Colapinto.

The two drivers, under the leadership of Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore and Managing Director Steve Nielsen and piloting the revolutionary Alpine A526, are driving forward the team's charge during a highly competitive Formula One season.

The team operates out of its Enstone factory in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, where it has been based since 1992, in its previous guises as Benetton Formula, Renault F1 Team and Lotus F1 Team.

Enstone has a winning legacy with seven Formula One World Championships including the Drivers’ World Championship [1994, 1995, 2005 and 2006] with Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso, and the Constructors’ World Championship [1995, 2005 and 2006].

The team’s 2026 car, the A526, is designed and built on-site with the 1000-strong workforce working hard towards the new opportunities presented in the 24-race season.

Fast forward nearly 70 years, and Alpine is now at the forefront of motor racing, competing alongside the elite in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and the World Endurance Championship as well as many other motorsport disciplines.

The original A110 road car was introduced in 1962 and, by the early 1970s, Alpine was a major force in topflight rally competition.

A busy calendar for 2024, punctuated by the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the World Endurance Championship, the FFSA GT4 European Series, FFSA Championnat de France GT, the Championnat de France FFSA des Rallyes, but also by customer competitions organised by the brand, such as the Alpine Elf Rally Trophy on the road and the Alpine Elf Europa Cup on the track.
