Job Description

The Content Strategy & Distribution Manager leads digital and social content strategy across all 1Oklahoma platforms. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital distribution strategy that grows audience engagement, strengthens the 1Oklahoma brand, and supports revenue opportunities through NIL and fan-driven initiatives. Working closely with the Learfield content team, Oklahoma Athletics stakeholders, and student-athletes, this role manages the publishing, promotion, and optimization of content across social media, website, and email platforms. The Manager will ensure that all digital channels operate cohesively, leverage platform best practices, and utilize analytics to continuously improve performance and audience growth. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Digital Content Strategy & Distribution Develop and execute the overall content distribution strategy for 1Oklahoma across digital platforms.

• Manage publishing schedules and platform-specific strategies across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook. Collaborate with Learfield content producers and Oklahoma Athletics stakeholders to distribute original, NIL, and branded content.
• Ensure content is optimized for each platform to maximize reach, engagement, and audience growth. Identify opportunities to drive fan engagement and revenue through strategic content distribution. Social Media Management Lead day-to-day management of 1Oklahoma’s social media channels.
• Establish and maintain the brand voice across all social platforms. Plan and execute social campaigns, giveaways, and fan engagement initiatives.
• Manage paid social campaigns, boosted posts, and audience targeting strategies to expand reach. Monitor social media trends and incorporate platform best practices into content planning. Website & Digital Platform Management Manage the 1Oklahoma website including page updates, design improvements, and content publishing.
• Oversee event creation, registration workflows, and ecommerce product updates. Ensure the website remains a central hub for fan engagement, membership, and digital experiences. Moderate digital community activity and support the development of member engagement features. Email Marketing & Fan Communication Execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters, promotions, and subscriber communications.
• Manage subscriber growth initiatives and audience segmentation strategies. Monitor and manage digital communication channels including the 1Oklahoma inbox.
• Analyze campaign performance to improve engagement and conversion Analytics & Performance Optimization Track and analyze performance across social, website, and email platforms. Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Use data to refine content strategy, audience targeting, and distribution tactics. Identify opportunities to improve engagement, fan growth, and monetization. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with Learfield Studios producers and creative teams to distribute high-quality content across 1Oklahoma platforms.
• Coordinate with Oklahoma Athletics, NIL partners, and brand stakeholders on digital content campaigns. Support content initiatives that elevate student-athlete storytelling and NIL opportunities.
• Ensure all digital content aligns with brand standards and compliance guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience in digital content strategy, social media management, or digital marketing within sports, media, or entertainment. Demonstrated experience managing and growing multi-platform social media channels. Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience growth strategies, and content optimization. Experience managing CMS platforms and email marketing tools (Wix, Mailchimp, or similar). Experience running paid social campaigns and optimizing digital performance.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable strategy. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong communicator capable of working with creative teams, athletic departments, and brand partners.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Passion for sports, storytelling, and digital media.
