We are seeking a highly-organized and detail-oriented Contracts & Business Affairs Coordinator to provide comprehensive contract support for NFL Media – including NFL Network, NFL+, NFL.com and other NFL projects.  This role will be based at the NFL’s Los Angeles campus and support NFL Media by, among other things, drafting and revising contract terms using standard templates; coordinating and managing the execution of approved agreements; and tracking and distributing key documents. The Contracts & Business Affairs Coordinator will report to NFL in-house legal counsel and frequently will communicate and collaborate with other internal teams and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify entertainment/production-related contracts, amendments and other legal documents (e.g., vendor agreements, appearance releases, footage licenses, rental agreements, non-disclosure agreements) using established templates and standard terms
  • Track and manage rights and clearances for footage, photos and third-party materials
  • Manage contract execution process throughout entire life cycle (e.g., managing electronic signature and approval process)
  • Prepare summaries of contract terms and track/manage deal expiration dates
  • Manage compliance with internal contract policies
  • Organize, update and implement contract forms and templates
  • Maintain and improve project and contract databases and management systems
  • Collaborate with internal business units (e.g., production management, finance, programming, vendor management, human resources) in connection with contract processes and workflows
  • Timely and efficiently resolve production matters in consultation with in-house counsel
  • Support NFL Media’s Los Angeles operations (e.g., office/studio space matters, company events and initiatives) through ordinary course legal work as needed
  • Additional tasks as assigned and directed by in-house counsel 

Required Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited four-year college or university 
  • Minimum two years of experience in an in-house transactional legal role (transactional paralegal, contracts administrator, business affairs manager) within the entertainment industry
  • Experience with production-related issues and projects
  • Understanding of the sports/media/entertainment landscape and content ecosystem

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
