Position Title: Coordinator, Accounts Payable

Position Reports To: Manager, Accounts Payable

Position Summary: MLB Network seeks a Coordinator, Accounts Payable to code and process invoices in the Company’s accounting system. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and who collaborates effectively.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

Assist with the processing and submission of invoices for payment into the Company’s accounting system.
Coordinate with MLB Office of the Commissioner for the setup and maintenance of new vendors.
Assist with processing of purchase orders into the accounting system.
Print, sort and distribute Accounts Payable checks on a weekly basis.
Provide the cash requirements report to Accounting on a weekly basis.
Assist in the annual 1099 reporting process.
Maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, employees, and other administrative departments in support of AP procedures.
Assist with financial statement audit and other special projects as assigned.
Other such duties as required.

Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate must have most if not all of the following skills and experiences:

0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Knowledge of accounting systems (knowledge of Oracle Fusion is preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
Excellent time management skills.
Superior attention to detail.
Able to maintain confidential information.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function as an effective team member.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time.
Possess the manual dexterity needed to effectively create required work product.
Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.

Education: Bachelor's degree is required; Accounting or Finance major is preferred

Work Classification: Flextime. Employee permitted to work remotely 40% of the week, with the days in the office determined by the manager of the individual employee.

Work classifications may be changed or modified at any time by the Company.

Estimated Salary range:
