Job Description

Major League Baseball is looking for a highly motivated candidate with a tireless work ethic to fulfill the role of Coordinator, Global Consumer Products. This position supports MLB’s US Domestic Hard Goods & Soft Goods businesses by assisting in the day-to-day management of accounts, as well as coordinating all Licensing-related activities with MLB special event stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain select soft goods licensees (Specialty accounts, short form agreements)
  • Develop and manage brand collaboration processes across various internal and external stakeholders, including project tracking, artwork approvals, club approvals, and launch timelines.
  • Create and maintain a calendar and tracker for all licensing collaborations.
  • Partner with internal departments to coordinate product seeding efforts that help elevate and showcase brand initiatives.
  • Support the CP team on executing VIP gifting moments across the organization throughout the year including Jewel Events, Player Gifting Suites, executive gifting, Opening Day, and Postseason.
  • Support day-to-day management of direct US Domestic hard goods licensees in various categories relating to Food & Beverage and Club Concessions.
  • Explore new brand opportunities in the hard goods space.
  • Learn new aspects of the hard goods business by way of brand alignment with Sponsorship and Clubs.
  • Assist with the continued onboarding process for Fanatics as US Domestic master hard goods licensee.
  • Implement successful growth strategies across top 5 categories (drinkware, home, novelty, accessories, collectibles).
  • Increased communication with Fanatics and direct licensees to ensure all parties are aware of contract status, submissions, and new business development.
  • Manage regular season ticket requests from direct licensees and Fanatics’ sublicensees.
  • Review Quality Control artwork submissions in a timely manner and assist in the enforcement and protection of MLB trademarks and property rights.
  • Manage communication and decision-making process relating to product credit across all international licensees and internal stakeholders, in close coordination with CP territory leads and branch offices.
  • Create purchase orders and coordinate the ordering, tracking and delivery of MLB branch office product requests.
  • Work with fulfillment and logistics companies to compile all international shipment documentation to ensure successful shipping and delivery from MLB vendors to branch offices.
  • Facilitate tickets, gifting/hospitality, and hotel needs for international partners at regular season games and jewel events (including All-Star Game and World Series).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Hands-on experience working in operations and logistics for various sporting events/special events.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work with many different areas throughout the company.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings during key special event time periods.

Pay Rate Stipend: $2,600.00 Bi-weekly
