Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for being a speaker during B.A.T.’s Spring Training Tour in either AZ and/or FL.
  • Responsible for on-going grant management tasks that includes preparing, assessing and evaluating cases. Compiles the complete financial & personal backgrounds in addition to making a recommendation/presentation of each case to the grant, crisis or scholarship committees.
  • Serves as a Spanish translator (documents and emails) for the Executive Director & Sr. Manager when needed.
  • Answer and direct calls from the B.A.T. hotline (7822) and respond to incoming and outgoing emails (in Spanish or English).
  • Oversee outreach and research quality of life improvement projects for Spanish speaking applicants based in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Latin America.
  • Manage the content, distribution, and production of the B.A.T. brochure, Website and Social Media accounts.
  • Prepares and distributes tax acknowledgement letters and coordinates all mass mailings.
  • Coordinate MiLB meetings in Florida and Arizona for B.A.T.’s Spring Training Awareness Tour by working with each respective club and their representatives.
  • Work with MLB Design Services regarding all design requests for the organization.
  • Assist with presenting and traveling for Front Office meetings, award presentations and/or any travel that may arise.
  • Maintains B.A.T. database through TrackVia and assists with functionality and integration of the system.
  • Schedule meetings for Executive Director, Sr. Manager and Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and regularly scheduled reports.
  • Assist with all mass mailings throughout the year and receive, sort and distribute the mail.
  • Assist with handling travel arrangements for staff, consultants and Board of Directors.
  • Prepares agenda, minutes and material for meetings.
  • Order materials for office, meetings and fundraising events.

Requirements:

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish, English) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional demeanor, organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong organization, analytical, impersonal and communication skills.
  • Extensive multi-tasking skills and experience managing deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Non-profit event & grant management preferred

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $58,500 to $65,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
