Job Description

As Cost & Export Controller – Wholesale W/M,  you will be responsible for the financial management and cost control of the Wholesale business, with a strong focus on OPEX monitoring and Export P&L ownership. Acting as a strong business partner to the Sales, Commercial, and Finance teams, you will provide accurate planning, insightful reporting, and analysis to support data-driven decisions, ensure financial discipline, and contribute to the profitable growth of the Wholesale business.

Key Responsibilities : 

OPEX Controlling

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the OPEX planning processes (budget, forecast, HLF) for the EMEA Wholesale organization (direct and indirect costs)
  • Oversee the loading of budget and forecast data into financial systems and perform final checks before submission
  • Work closely with budget owners to challenge assumptions, validate input, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across countries, cost centers, and functional areas.
  • Develop and maintain OPEX planning models and tools to support scenario analysis and strategic planning.

Monthly Closing & Performance Monitoring

  • Drive the month-end closing process for EMEA Wholesale OPEX, in close collaboration with Accounting and Finance (direct and indirect costs)
  • Review and analyze actuals vs. budget/forecast to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide insightful commentary and reporting to key stakeholders to explain deviations and support decisions.
  • Define and implement cost allocation methodologies to ensure accurate Wholesale P&L reporting
  • Build, improve, and maintain closing OPEX models and tools to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Implement and/or maintain SOX compliant financial controls and ensure reliable, transparent OPEX reporting.
  • Support Wholesale profitability analysis and help drive cost optimization initiatives.

Reporting (MBR, QBR, MSR) & Business Partnering

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting to internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Management).
  • Enhance reporting tools and processes to provide relevant and actionable Wholesale performance insights.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure trust, transparency, and effective collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Controlling – Wholesale and other controllers to drive consistency, transparency, and best practices.

Export Business – Full P&L Management

  • Own and manage the full P&L of the Export perimeter within the Wholesale channel (Planning, HLF and closing processes, Royalties accruals and follow-up)
  • Consolidate, analyze, and report on key performance drivers: sales, margin, discounts, logistics, OPEX, etc.
  • Act as the main business partner to the Export Sales team, supporting commercial decisions with financial insights.
  • Ensure budget accuracy, track deviations, and support action plans to optimize Export profitability.

Ad Hoc

  • Support the Business Controller in the preparation of key deliverables such as budgets / forecasts, performance reviews, and strategic planning and reporting.
  • Support the Business Controller in the preparation of planning / loading templates, and in loading the EMEA budget into the planning tool (Oracle).
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial models and internal tools.
  • Execute ad hoc financial analysis and tasks to support decision-making and business priorities.
  •  Provide backup and collaboration across the Controlling team to ensure business continuity and strong team dynamics.

 

Profile We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in Audit, Controlling or FP&A, ideally in a Wholesale, B2B, or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems such as SAP, Power BI. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Team-oriented with a passion for the outdoors and working in a performance-driven culture.
