The role

Infinite Reality is seeking a talented and skilled Creative Director to join the Infinite Reality Studio team to lead the creative function and help us bring the spatial web to life across devices and domains.  Our dynamic team is driven by a vision to make the internet more fun, imaginative and immersive and we’ve built the world’s most advanced 3D engine designed for the web browser to support us in our journey.  

With the iR Studio we empower creators and brands with the tools they need to build 3D spaces from showrooms, to hangouts, to media hubs.  And as part of our aim to democratize access to immersive technologies, the iR Studio requires little to no coding skills thanks to an intuitive design tools and an asset library that outfits creators with kits, templates, props, and avatars - all of which make it easier than ever to design an immersive space.  

As the Creative Director of Infinite Reality Studio you will be instrumental in making this content library come to life, leading a team of 2D and 3D artists to ensure we give our customers all the inspiration and assets they need to realize their visions, express themselves and represent their brands.

What you’ll do

• Creative Leadership: 
  • Define and drive the artistic vision for our content library, demos and other iR Studio design projects. 
  • Provide guidance and inspiration to the art team to achieve high-quality, innovative results.
• Team Management: 
  • Oversee a small team of 2D, 3D and tech artists. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, skill development, and professional growth.
• Project Oversight: 
  • Manage the team’s workflow, ensuring timely delivery of assets and adherence to project specifications. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to align artistic goals with technical and business requirements.
• Artistic Direction: 
  • Develop and maintain visual standards for 3D models, textures, animations, and other art assets. 
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all aspects of the visual design.
• Innovation and Trends: 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and artistic techniques. 
  • Incorporate cutting-edge practices into the creative process to keep our projects at the forefront of the industry.
• Stakeholder Interaction: 
  • Communicate effectively with cross functional stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into artistic solutions. 
  • Present concepts and prototypes in a clear and engaging manner.
• Quality Assurance: 
  
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all art assets meet our high standards of excellence.

What you’ll bring

• Experience: 
  • 8+ years of experience in a senior art role within the gaming or tech industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. 
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring a team of artists.
• Skills: 
  • Expertise in 3D art creation and tech art for game engines. 
  • Proficient in industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, and other relevant tools.
• Creativity: 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality 3D art, including environments, characters, and interactive elements.
• Leadership: 
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills. 
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team while maintaining a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Vision: 
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute complex artistic visions while balancing creativity with practical constraints.
• Problem-Solving: 
  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
