OVERVIEW: 

Brand Content → Long-Term Brand World & Storytelling

Gymshark is growing fast, more stories, more content, more platforms, more pace. As output scales, our brand world needs to stay sharp, coherent and culturally relevant, no matter how fast things move.

The Creative Lead for Brand Content, exists to define, scale and protect Gymshark’s broader brand world. You’ll build the storytelling frameworks, creative standards and rhythms that hold everything together as the volume increases, ensuring our brand shows up with clarity, consistency and long-term intent across every channel.

This is the role that shapes how the world understands Gymshark: who we are, what we stand for, and how our brand story evolves over time.

Your mission: Build sustainable brand value by defining the brand world that everything else sits within.

Option for this role to be FTC or permanent. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In a nutshell...

  • Define and evolve Gymshark’s brand world and long‑term storytelling frameworks.
  • Lead social‑first brand expression across platforms, ensuring clarity and cultural relevance.
  • Build scalable content systems rooted in strategy, insight and community behaviour.
  • Set and raise creative standards across all brand content.
  • Mentor and develop creatives at all levels.
  • Partner with Brand, Marketing and Campaign teams to ensure cohesion across the calendar.
  • Act as guardian of brand consistency while enabling flexibility and platform nuance.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential: 

  • Extensive experience leading high‑frequency product launches, drops and campaign‑led brand moments, operating at speed while maintaining creative consistency and quality across large volumes of output.
  • A standout portfolio showcasing big‑idea thinking, strong narrative judgement and channel‑first execution, with clear evidence of how your ideas translate across fast‑moving, high‑pressure environments.
  • Exceptional art direction and creative taste, with the ability to set a clear visual and storytelling standard — and uphold that bar across multiple teams, formats and deliverables.
  • Deep cultural awareness and fluency, with the ability to read nuance, interpret cultural signals and translate insight into creative that feels timely, relevant and authentic (never superficial or reactive).
  • Advanced understanding of social platforms, formats and behaviours, and how to create work that is conceived natively for social while staying cohesive with the wider Gymshark brand world.
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing senior creative talent, bringing clarity, confidence and momentum to teams working under tight timelines and high expectations.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high‑tempo, high‑expectation environments, applying structure, judgement and calm leadership to protect creative excellence when pressure is highest.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to articulate creative intent, challenge thinking constructively and build belief with senior stakeholders.

You must be able to attend GSIQ (Solihull) offices a minimum of 3 days per week; London based professionals considered with regular travel to Birmingham, Solihull.

As a part of the interview process you will receive a detailed JD and a meeting with the Brand TA Manager who will be able to answer any questions you may have relating to this opportunity.
