Academic Year Internship Program Details 

Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027 

Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.  We will do our best to accommodate course schedules. 

Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.  

Academic Year Recruitment Timeline 

April 20: Applications open 

May 8: Applications close at 11:59pm ET (we recommend you submit your application as soon as possible – applications may close earlier due to applicant volume!)  

Early May – Mid June: First round video interviews    

Mid June – Mid July: Second round interviews   

Throughout July: Selected candidates receive offers

Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.    

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: 

• Cyber Security Defense Ops Investigation, Digital Security: The Digital Security team sits within NBCUniversal’s Global Security Operations – Intelligence & Investigations function and supports the protection of high‑profile individuals, brands, and productions across the company’s global portfolio. The team focuses on digital threat monitoring, open‑source intelligence, and investigative support, working closely with partners across the business. An intern on the DS team will gain hands‑on exposure to real‑world digital security operations in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment. This includes monitoring emerging online threats, supporting investigations involving persons of interest, and contributing to executive protection and reputational risk efforts. Interns will participate in active cases and ongoing initiatives, gaining insight into how digital intelligence informs operational decision‑making and response.
