Reporting to the AVP, Global Sales, the DACH Sales Senior Manager will lead wholesale expansion for the DACH region, and will be responsible for all processes related to successfully onboarding brick & mortar retailers, marketplaces, and distributors.
This role is based in Germany. We will only consider candidates who currently live in Germany.
Responsibilities:Define and execute a multi-year global retailer pipeline for the DACH Region across various industries, including but not limited to technology, sporting goods, and marketplaces, by analyzing retail market trends and conducting in-depth retailer diligence.Proactively conduct retailer outreach, create proposals, lead negotiations, and develop an onboarding plan in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Partner with Legal to execute contracts, develop SOPs to address unauthorized resellers, and establish country level wholesale policies. Partner with Legal, Accounting, Hardware & SaMD on country level tax certifications, registrations, and packaging requirements by country.Owns retailer level assortment, forecasts, sales reporting, inventory, and POs in collaboration with Marketing, Apparel & Accessories, Finance, and Operations.Host quarterly business reviews with retailers to review past and forward looking performance, assortment, and marketing levers. Collaborate with Strategic Finance on LTV/CAC modeling for the geography. Coordinate strategy with DTC country managers to collectively grow the WHOOP membership base.Own communications internally with respect to pipeline, retailer launch status, and any bottlenecks impacting progress. Qualifications: 8+ years in international market expansion, ideally in a dynamic start-up environment. Fluent in both German and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication. Additional languages are a bonus - please reference them in your application. Experience spans sales, operations, trade compliance, and marketing. Brings a mix of a data driven and operational mindset to the table. Excellent business acumen, negotiation and communication skills. Curious, collaborative, and adaptable in an ever-changing field.Self-starter; not afraid to roll up their sleeves and be an individual contributor Day 1.
