Let’s start with the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Engineering Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of database developers, designing and developing complex databases for various projects and optimizing their performance to meet business needs.

As a Database Engineering Team Lead you will:

Lead and manage a team of database developers to deliver high-quality database solutions using SQL Server;
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design databases that meet business and performance needs;
Regularly monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of SQL Server databases through regular tuning and maintenance activities;
Mentor and train junior team members on best practices in SQL Server database development and administration;
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in SQL Server database development and performance tuning.

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field;
At least 5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and 2 years of experience in a team lead role;
Strong expertise in SQL Server database administration and performance tuning;
Experience with database design and modeling;
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
