Wargaming is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on World of Warships web and infrastructure services in our Belgrade office.
The team is responsible for dozens of web and infrastructure services at all stages of their life cycle.
You will design and implement high-availability services in collaboration with development teams and QA engineers, work on monitoring systems and automation solutions, and maintain integration and delivery pipelines, as well as development and production environments.
Operation of production and staging infrastructure: keep applications up and running
Support CI in Gitlab and TeamCity
Develop and maintain application monitoring and incident alerting
Migration from in-house orchestrator to k8s
Work on system's reliability
Optimize processes with automation (Python or Go)
Participate in on-call duties for production environments
Participate in application deployments outside of working hours (scheduled, once in 4 weeks; if needed)
Mitigate security vulnerabilities
Containerize/(migrate to k8s) applications running on VM's if possible and makes sense
We have L1 support, you don't need to sit in front of monitoring dashboards
We're not responsible for VM setup and k8s - we have dedicated teams for these tasks
Writing Puppet code is minimal
VM and container-based (Kubernetes and in-house orchestration solution) applications
Custom Python/Go tools / Puppet / Terraform
GitLab / Teamcity
PostgreSQL/ RabbitMQ / Prometheus
Strong understanding of GNU/Linux operating systems
Knowledge of debugging tools such as tcpdump, strace, lsof
Worked on identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, monitoring/alerting rules
Coding experience beyond simple scripts
Experience in programming with Python; experience with Go is a plus
Understanding of web application principles
Ability to debug applications using logs, metrics
Team player with good communication skills
Intermediate English level or higher
Readiness to work in Belgrade, Serbia (we help with relocation)
Experience in migration from bare metal/VPS to Kubernetes
Experience working with and administering PostgreSQL and MySQL databases
Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka
Experience working with monitoring systems
Experience creating web services
