Wargaming is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Deployment World of Warships Team in our Belgrade office.

World of Warships is the best naval game around, letting you take command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way across the open sea with other players.

The Deployment Team is responsible for the World of Warships game servers throughout all stages of their lifecycle. Additionally, the team supports the development team by streamlining various processes, including the automation of production environment deployment and the enhancement of development tools. They also handle incident resolution and perform a wide range of other operational tasks.

What will you do?

• Be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of our game and parts of the infrastructure around it throughout the lifecycle of its services
• Optimizing and tuning our highly loaded services
• Supporting and developing a large number of automation tools for builds, deployments, and other processes required for our game and related services

What are we looking for?

• Professional work experience with Linux systems, and system administration-related tasks
• Development experience in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or others)
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience with tools (for example, TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or others)
• Work experience with version control systems (for example, Git, SVN)
• Understanding of principles and experience with containerization tools (for example Docker, Podman, LXC, OpenVZ, Jail, or others)
• Work experience with automation tools (for example, Puppet, Ansible, Fabric, Chef, Salt, Terraform, or others)
• Experience using Bash for routine operations and automation
• Work experience with relational databases (for example, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Understanding the basic principles of DevOps and SRE methodologies
• Understanding the principles and experience with orchestration systems (for example, K8S, Methos/Marathon, Compose, or others)
• Work experience with message brokers (for example, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or others)
• Work experience with configuration and secret management systems (for example, Zookeeper, Consul, Vault, or others)
• Work experience with various monitoring systems (for example, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or others)
• Experience in debugging applications at the system and network level
• Understanding how modern systems and network protocols work
• Intermediate English level or higher

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Expertise in building large-scale, high-volume, secure, efficient, and resilient operations environment
• Advanced hands-on Python / Golang programming experience

Work mode

• Onsite during the first 3 months of the onboarding period and Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office) after probation.
• This role isn't eligible for relocation support.
