The Role You'll Play
At Playlist, we're building technology that gets people moving and connecting in the real world. We're looking for a passionate DevOps Infrastructure Engineer who thrives on creating robust, scalable cloud environments that power millions of wellness experiences.
You'll be the architectural maestro behind our infrastructure, transforming complex technical challenges into elegant, reliable solutions. Our ideal candidate doesn't just manage systems—they craft the technological foundation that helps people discover and engage with incredible fitness and wellness experiences.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily with Terraform and AWS, ensuring our platform remains scalable, secure, and performant
• Develop and optimize build pipelines using GitHub Actions to accelerate engineering velocity and streamline deployment processes
• Create monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Datadog to maintain system reliability and proactively address potential issues
• Build and maintain ETL processes with Airflow, transforming data into actionable insights that drive our product forward
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to design technical solutions that balance innovation, performance, and user experience
• Write clear, comprehensive technical design documents that facilitate team understanding and collective problem-solving
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, seeking diverse perspectives and constructive feedback
• Support and enhance our microservices architecture, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance
Experience You Bring
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, with strong proficiency in Terraform
• Proven expertise in cloud computing management, specifically with AWS
• Solid programming skills in Python, with experience using boto3
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and database management
• Background in build pipeline management, with GitHub Actions experience preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of reliability engineering and microservice monitoring best practices
• Passion for collaborative problem-solving and continuous learning
