Division Overview

The PlayStation Studios: Creative team is an award-winning, global internal creative agency within PlayStation Studios. We endeavour to build a working environment where we can flourish and create industry-leading work. Structured around 2 teams; Brand & Strategy and the Creative Studio, comprising of four core disciplines; Design & illustration, UI/UX, Motion & 3D, Film and Video. We deliver projects in collaboration with our game development and marketing/PR teams. 

 

Role Overview

The Digital Designer (Design Systems) in PlayStation Studios: Creative is responsible for creating and maintaining a cohesive and efficient digital design system for promotional campaigns and assets for multiple customer touchpoints. This role requires a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles, visual design, and proficiency in design tools. 

You'll play a key role in bringing world-class content to players globally. We're looking for someone with a love for the brand, the ability to collaborate with other teams in the business, and a keen eye for detail. There will be potential to creatively grow within this role. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve a robust design system for existing campaign work that encompasses components, promotional assets and guidelines to maintain consistency across all digital touch points.  
  • Advocate for the Design System across the organization, taking ownership and emphasizing its value in improving efficiency, maintaining consistency, and enhancing the overall user experience. 
  • Production and management of a high turnover of digital assets following a designated workflow. 
  • Adapt existing campaign work, based on existing guidelines. 
  • Localise and export promotional assets based on existing templates, in addition to developing new template packages for other designers to adhere to. 
  • Resize & adapt product artwork into various asset formats, meeting regular publishing requirements. 
  • Ensure that creative output adheres to PlayStation brand and design principles. 
  • Strategise with the Creative Director and Production Manager to help meet business objectives. 

 

 Requirements: 

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a digital designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web and/or other digital design projects including design systems. 
  • Skilled with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. 
  • High proficiency in Figma including building design systems that scale. 
  • Well organised with a strong eye for detail. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • Keen ability to work collaboratively with other teams. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Problem solving - lateral thinking with logical reasoning. 
  • Creativity - not only for visual creative communication but for production, processes and efficiency. 
  • Work ethic - be professional at all times and show initiative and integrity. 
  • Interpersonal skills - Tolerance, patience and diplomacy. 
  • Excellent Time management. 
  • File management with high levels of quality and accuracy. 
  • Passionate about Games and how they are communicated to the public.
