ABOUT THE ROLE

 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • The
manager
of
the
application
security
program
will
be
responsible for:
    • Integrating
security
tools,
standards, metrics 
and
processes
into
the
software development lifecycle.
    • Manage key application services such as threat modeling, pen-testing, design reviews through third party vendors and consultants.
    • Improving
and
supporting
application
security
tool
deployments
including
static
analysis
and
runtime
testing
tools.
    • Improving
and
maintaining
secure
development
standards in support of strategy set forth by Application Security leaders.
    • Supporting
the
incident
response
and
architecture
review
processes
whenever
application
security
expertise
is
needed.
    • Have an application pen-testing background and manage pen-testing and other software-fix related activities resulting from annual SOX and PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
    • Interfacing with internal
business
and
technology
partners on the efficacy of application security deliverables and build associated metrics.
    • Manage vulnerabilities as output generated from the various scanning tools such as API security, code scanning tools and CI/CD, dev-sec-ops tools.
    • Support and triage software and hardware vulnerabilities if applicable to the development teams.
    • Integrating
threat
modeling
practices
into
the
product
life
cycle.
    • Producing
metrics
reporting
the
state
of
application
security
 programs
and
performance
of
development
teams
against requirements.

can

 security
concepts
into
language
that
is
meaningful
to
many
 audiences,
including
business
and
technical
leaders
and
individual
contributors.
  • Candidates
must
be
able
to
approach
application
security
from
the
perspective
of
risk
management
and
avoid
purely academic
thinking
about
software
security.
Demonstrable
ability
to influence
decision‐making
processes
at
all
levels
of
a
large
organization
will
be
critical
to
success. 
  • Candidates
must
have
strong
leadership
skills
and
be
effective managers
of
highly
technical
individuals.
  • Candidates
must
have
excellent
verbal
and
written
communication
skills,
including
experience
speaking
in
public
forums
and
writing/contributing
to
technical
publications.
  • Candidates
should
be
familiar
with
waterfall
and
agile
development
 processes
and
have
experience
integrating
secure
development
practices
into
both
models.
  • The
ideal
candidate
has
experience in pen-testing and also an ability to manage application vulnerabilities.
  • Candidates
must
be
able
to
explain
all
vulnerabilities
and
weaknesses in
the
OWASP
Top
10
to
any
audience,
and
discuss
effective
defensive
techniques.
  • Candidates
must
have
experience
managing
$1M+
budgets
and
planning
multi‐year
roadmaps.
  • Familiarity
with
industry
standards
and
regulations
including
PCI,
 FFIEC,
SOX,
and
ISO27001
is
desired.
  • Proficiency with JIRA and workflow management tools.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$137,680$179,040 USD
