Position Summary:

The Broadcast Services Manager oversees all technical services provided at Dignity Health Sports Park. This position will serve as the main point of contact and representative related to stadium production technology and outside broadcast production needs.  Additionally, the Broadcast Service Manager oversees and develops the Broadcast Services Supervisor and the Part -Time Event Day staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Hire, train, develop, and schedule Broadcast Services full-time and part-time staff (Audio/Video) while overseeing technical equipment, and broadcast infrastructure.
  • Oversee the technical needs for all events, which include assigning event-related technical duties and appropriate equipment to the Broadcast Services Supervisor while working with the Broadcast Networks on park and power times, transmission, camera positions, and all pertinent event information as it relates to the event.
  • Develop standards and best practices to effectively and efficiently manage equipment use and equipment maintenance for all events. Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and tools including equipment lifecycle and replacement schedules.
  • Oversee third-party vendors to ensure maintenance contracts are implemented. Make vendor and price recommendations to VP of Operations regarding serviced rendered/ needed.
  • Create and manage service quotes, estimates, and invoices for all events at Dignity Health Sports Park by investigating professional industry prices and setting competitive rates. Manage and introduce long-term improvements to tenants for upcoming events and future bookings.
  • Direct oversight of broadcast department budgets including part time and full-time labor, and maintenance. Capex planning and processing to be submitted to VP of Operations for final approval.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of all broadcast systems to better understand all aspects of the Broadcast Technician duties to effectively provide support when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year): Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Experience and ability to effectively manager and lead a team of technical employees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn required business systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced practical and theoretical knowledge of fiber optic transmission systems as they relate to broadcast industry
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of day–to-day tasks
  • Ability to work well with fellow staff members, vendors, and clients
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work long irregular hours for an extended period of time as dictated by events and schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay Scale: $83,277-$110,000
