Director, Controller @ Midi Health: 👩‍⚕️💻

Midi is currently seeking a Controller who will lead the accounting function and report to our CFO. This is a unique opportunity to build the corporate accounting function from the ground and have a big impact on a mission-driven organization changing women’s healthcare.

The Business impact  📈  

• Lead all aspects of accounting, including monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable (excluding insurance reimbursement), payroll, financial reporting and technical accounting requirements
• Develop and implement accounting policies to meet GAAP standards, such as revenue accounting standards, internal control policies and technical accounting requirements
• Develop an internal control framework to advance the company’s approval and security processes
• Coordinate the company’s work with 3rd party tax providers to assist with annual filings, sales tax, franchise tax, R&D credits and the overall tax strategies
• Lead and streamline the monthly close process to ensure prompt delivery of monthly financial results and reporting
• Enhance financial reporting to provide business insights and support FP&A modeling
• Support Board presentations and executive management that clearly communicates financial results/KPI trends 

What you will need to succeed: 🌱

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, preferably as a Controller or senior level accounting professional in a public company setting
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
• CPA (active or non-active)
• Experience in building the accounting function and team in a company
• Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills; proven track record of building sophisticated financial reports
• Expert-level PowerPoint/Google Slides experience, able to translate complex financial information into a simplified presentation
• A hands on- self-starter who is able to deliver in a dynamic environment under tight timelines and changing priorities
• A strong story-teller who will not just report the numbers, but will provide a deep understanding as to current trends and how we can improve going forward; comes to the table with solutions
