The Role

The Director, Global ESG & Sustainability Reporting will lead the development and execution of the company’s global ESG strategy, with a strong focus on net-zero transformation and climate disclosure. This role is responsible for overseeing ESG reporting, ensuring alignment with international frameworks, and embedding sustainability across global entertainment operations, including production, distribution, and corporate functions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in ESG reporting, carbon accounting, and global regulatory compliance, along with experience operating across multiple regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC). This leader will work cross-functionally with production, finance, legal, and executive leadership to drive measurable environmental and social impact. Key

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s global ESG strategy, including development and execution of a net-zero roadmap aligned with science-based targets
• Oversee ESG disclosures and reporting, ensuring compliance with leading frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ISSB). Direct enterprise-wide carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) across global operations
• Develop and implement climate transition plans, including emissions reduction initiatives and offset strategies
• Monitor and interpret evolving ESG regulations across key markets (U.S., EU, UK, APAC) and ensure organizational readiness
• Lead ESG data governance, systems implementation, and reporting accuracy across regions. Prepare executive-level communications and present ESG performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and Board
• Manage relationships with investors, ESG rating agencies (e.g., CDP, MSCI), and external stakeholders. Represent the company in industry forums and sustainability initiatives relevant to media and entertainment. Qualifications 10+ years of • experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility, preferably within media, entertainment, or a global organization.
• • Proven experience leading net-zero strategy development and implementation. Deep knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ISSB). Expertise in carbon accounting methodologies and climate risk assessment. Experience working across multiple international regions and regulatory environments.
• • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level. Experience managing ESG data platforms and reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (sustainability, environmental science, business, or related field). Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CESGA, SASB FSA, or LEED Accreditation.
• Familiarity with ESG ratings and disclosure platforms (CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics). Key Success Metrics Progress against net-zero targets and emissions reduction goals. Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of ESG disclosures. Improvement in ESG ratings and investor confidence. Adoption of sustainable production standards across global projects. Effectiveness of ESG data systems and reporting infrastructure. Location This role will be located in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $179,000 – $222,000 in Los Angeles, CA.
