Who You Are: The Director, Manufacturing – Beverage will own and develop a global network and strategy of external beverage filling partners in order to grow and scale Nutrabolt’s C4 line of beverage products. This leader is responsible for identifying new partners related to beverage co-manufacturing along with support operations, assessing and tracking capabilities and capacity, and managing the ongoing relationships within Nutrabolt’ s growing external beverage partner network.

This role is eligible to participate in our Management Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At:

  • Overseeing the manufacture of beverage products, ensuring production, performance, cost and quality standards are consistently met by co-manufacturers
  • Reviewing production reports to ensure delivery goals and standards are met
  • Managing detailed bill of material cost breakdowns with to model current and future costs, and cost saving opportunities by partnering with the strategic sourcing analytical team
  • Reviewing and negotiating quarterly pricing with co-manufacturers
  • Ensuring implementation of product compliance with country-specific federal and state regulations
  • Assisting VP of Procurement with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, consolidations, and implementation of new and advanced processes and technologies to improve manufacturing operations
  • Working with product development and purchasing to ensure new SKUs are manufactured on a fixed timeline
  • Communicating with commercial team to understand opportunities for new products & package configurations that will be needed to support launch and re-order cycles
  • Working with supply chain planning and commercial teams to perform SKU rationalization recommendations
  • Building relationships with key individuals at co-manufacturing partners including but not limited to owners, general managers, planning managers, production managers, and quality managers, usually through onsite visits and working sessions
  • Working with quality team to perform root cause analysis for defects, and act as a liaison with co-manufacturing partners to resolve via process or financial reconciliation
  • Leading quarterly allocations meeting by analyzing demand by SKU, co-man capabilities and capacity, and company’s inventory strategy
  • In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
    • Focused management of functional beverage take or pays including non-turnkey packaging and other input materials.
    • Finished good case allocation with a rigid TCO approach, including working in lockstep with Planning and Logistics around warehouse utilization.
    • Own the Sourcing process of Identifying, Onboarding, Commercializing, Managing, and/or exiting Beverage Filler relationships based upon operational, capability, cost competitiveness, or geographic need

What You Contribute: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related scientific field required
  • MBA or Masters degree in Supply Chain preferred
  • Experience in a food or beverage production environment from an operator or manager perspective
  • Contract term analysis, negotiations, and compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and managerial skills, including but not required project management.
  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in manufacturing, including Kaizen, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis, Input and inventory management, safety and quality protocols
  • Ability to take long-term objectives and set short and mid-term actions that work towards accomplishing the objective
