Everlywell is looking for a Director, National Distribution to drive sales and channel management activities for product distribution accounts, both direct to retail and distributor relationships.  We are looking for an experienced leader who will be responsible for achieving revenue and brand goals by spearheading the development of strategic growth plans, operational stability and excellence, new-partner onboarding, in-store/online product expansion and sell-in and innovative marketing campaign development to drive sell through. 

The successful candidate will have both traditional retailer expertise as well distribution partner experience, a track-record of navigating a brand to category captainship, a deep understanding of shopper and retailer data and a passion for creating valuable, omni channel presence for our consumer brands. You will be the de facto CEO of this sales vertical and you will report to the General Manager of Consumer. 

What You'll Do:
  • P&L/budget management accountability.
  • Lead the development of insights-based retail marketing plans that support key business and brand initiatives, new product launches and seasonal activations.
  • Develop omni-channel retail activation plans to ensure seamless experience across digital and in-store environments.
  • Manage and optimize digital and in-store offers and campaigns and execute test and learns.
  • Manage trade marketing calendar and budget by retailer and channel.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the business and retail partners' landscape to make decisions based on the unique needs of our consumer and/or the category.
  • Partner with category teams at key retailers to improve the company's overall retail relationships, exercise our role as category leader to build a stronger business.
  • Manage all administrative level components of retail and distributor partners including contracting, item setup and all required paperwork.
  • Play a major role in the day to day execution of retailer specific shopper programming, working with internal marketing team and cross functionally to manage timelines, develop assets, and measure results.
  • Prepare business reviews, market assessments and persuasive presentations that effectively summarize a situation and/or sell-in recommendations with data and rationale.
  • Track and report results, documenting learnings and best practices for the business.
  • Manage forecasting and set expectations with cross functional teams (accounting and supply).
  • Manager inventory, chargebacks, buybacks and other operational components of retail and distribution. 

  • Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with Business or Marketing focus.
  • 12 years of related professional experience, including at least 8 years of experience in retail account or category management. experience either at a broker, within a consumer packaged goods organization, or within a retailer organization.
  • Experience in selling products through distributors like McKesson. 
  • Experience successfully developing and executing retailer strategies and business plans with proven ability to deliver/exceed revenue goals and increase market share.
  • Experience building effective Customer Joint Business Plans and demonstrated strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with national chains both traditional and e-retailers.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Ability to analyze and leverage data and insights to inform channel strategies.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to obtain buy-in and develop/maintain stakeholder trust and relationships.
  • Builds strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to organize, analyze and present data findings.
  • Creative, strategic thinker and problem solver accustomed to working on/with teams.
  • Location: Austin, TX or New York, NY preferred.
