What We Need:
The Director of Marketing for ANZ will oversee the ANZ marketing team working across both Sports and Core titles, adding strategic, commercial, and local insights to drive performance and elevate the ambition for the ANZ territory. Australia is a large Sports market, and this will be a key focus of this role to win the hearts and minds of the Australian market. The role will help ANZ teams develop Go To Market plans for multiple games and ensure those plans are implemented effectively and are optimized as needed to meet business and marketing targets.
The role requires strong partnership and collaboration within a matrixed organization working closely with BUs (business units) and their teams (marketing and commercial/growth), centralized services such as creative, communications, player services, finance, HR, partnerships as well as the Take-Two physical and digital sales teams.
The role demands a strong leader who communicates and collaborates effectively across a complex matrix organisation, has proven credentials in a commercial and data-driven organisation, and strong leadership skills in order to develop and guide the local territory team to deliver against the company goals.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, Americas + ANZ, you will lead the Go To Market strategy and execution for ANZ and the development and management of a team of marketers in ANZ.
Team Leadership
- Responsible for managing and growing a team of direct reports, handling performance reviews, and supporting the development/growth plans for the team.
- Leading and motivating the local team to implement effective integrated GTM campaigns that deliver upon the global marketing strategies for all 2K titles ensuring that sales and other revenue streams are maximised both physically (disc) and digitally (download)
Go To Market Marketing
- Responsible for the overall planning, development, and execution of all 2K’s Marketing efforts with the 2K team in ANZ which includes integrated marketing plans for titles that drive awareness, engagement, and purchase intent at launch and throughout product lifecycle.
- Ensure all local GTM campaigns are aligned with and deliver upon the Global Marketing Strategy and business goals set out by Business Units. Be the local champion for territory and consumer needs to ensure the global marketing strategy and marketing assets are relevant.
- Supervise development and management of marketing budget proposals, demonstrating clear understanding of business targets, audiences and how to reach them, and including ideas for growth that may require more funding or ideas for efficiency or budget reallocation. Where required, collaborate with the finance team to help support the annual, quarterly, and monthly financial planning process. Monitor and track all T&E ensuring expenditure falls within annually agreed levels.
- Oversee the development of paid media plans with ANZ team and own relationships with the media agency and internal digital buying teams. Take lead in driving the agency for more transparency on what is working and what isn’t, with the ability to continually optimize away from low impact/efficiency media, as well as driving innovation/media firsts to reach our different audiences in an impactful way.
- Support the ANZ team’s development of retail/promotional marketing plans in collaboration with T2 Channel/Sales team, driving innovation and ensuring the best possible allocation of budget vs. targets for launch activities and yearly promotional calendars. Manage day to day relationship with sales and channel team and monitor promotional sales results to ensure targets are being met, findings are registered and incorporated into the next promotional plan. Inputting into business targets, promotional pricing plans, digital vs. physical product sales plans and ensuring translation into relevant marketing plans/actions.
- Liaise between ANZ team, ANZ media teams, and creative teams to build relevant ANZ assets for paid media and retail campaigns within required timelines while ensuring relevant, contextual and ‘on brand’ creative is delivered. Lead to rethink our retail creative and drive awareness of the promotion/sale without diluting the brand of each game.
- Collaborate with Performance Marketing, Commercial and Analytics teams to mine data and insight into game behaviors, sales achievement, audience/consumer behaviors, paid media metrics, creative usage/engagement and CRM results in ANZ, developing actions for marketing to continuously optimize and strive to exceed targets.
- Managing and leading the team to provide timely updates, assets, and direction, along with managing timelines to ensure all milestones are achieved throughout planning and execution phases.
Partners
- Act as the lead point of contact for all First party, Licensor (WWE, NBA etc.) and other key partners in ANZ. Ensure any global or regional partnerships are maximised within set contractual parameters, and any reporting/invoicing is tracked and delivered as required, and on time.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 8+ years of proven experience working for a consumer brand, on the brand, media and/or agency side with relevant GTM experience. 4+ years of managerial experience, being comfortable with giving feedback and assessing employee performance.
- Experience leading, growing and developing a team of direct reports. Experience leading within a matrixed organization.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate into existing marketing team and build trust and credibility within the ANZ team, regional marketing teams, and global/cross functional teams.
- Experience in leading a team whilst planning, developing, and driving agreed Marketing, PR, Influencer and Social/Community activities throughout local markets.
- Experienced in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring campaigns are forecasted accurately and fall within set budgets. Territory P&L and/or budget ownership required.
- Experience strategizing and implementing retail marketing campaigns and paid media campaigns, with experience working with media agencies from client side preferred.
