We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sponsor Relations to oversee and manage the full lifecycle of sponsor relationships for our high-profile events, including the Warren Miller Film Tour, Outside Festival, Outside Summit, the Get Outside Tour, and other sales hospitality events. This role is crucial for enhancing sponsor satisfaction and operational efficiency across various platforms and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive sponsor relationships, including tracking interactions and managing the sponsor assets folder.
  • Coordinate all aspects of sponsor communications, from initial introductions and kickoff calls to regular updates and follow-up meetings.
  • Initiate sponsor engagements effectively, ensuring all essential documents and requirements like partnership kickoff decks, activation details (e.g., structures, power, Wi-Fi) are well communicated and agreed upon.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation for each sponsor in individualized folders within the sponsor assets drive, including logos, activation images, and meeting notes.
  • Manage all required sponsor credentials and guest lists efficiently.
  • Implement structured cross-departmental collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and ensure sponsor satisfaction.
  • Work closely with HR on staffing, including planning for company OFS retreat and event-specific staffing needs.
  • Introduce and enforce stringent contracting and financial controls to ensure timely closure of sponsorship sales, adherence to contractual agreements, and completion of sponsor payments prior to event launches.
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors and non-profits, ensuring all contractual and insurance documents are submitted timely and accurately.
  • Oversee internal staffing plans, including managing volunteer and staff shifts, credentials, and logistical details to ensure smooth operations during events.

What YOU bring to Outside:  (Preferred Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of events and experiential marketing experience 
  • Strong Media background in addition to experiential experience
  • Proven experience in sponsor relationship management and event planning, preferably at the director level in the experiential events space.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for nurturing long-term relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in hiring and managing cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in event management and sponsor relations.

 

What We Offer:

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of  between $80,000 to $130,000.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away,  sick leave, and more.  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
