About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as the Director of People Operations. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and be instrumental in optimizing people operations and shaping the overall employee experience. 

As the Director of People Operations, you will lead a dynamic team focused on onboarding, total rewards, HR systems and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our people operations to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities

In this influential role, you will work closely with our leadership team to create and drive programs with a compelling value proposition for our employees. You will spearhead the development and execution of our talent strategies including:

 
  1. Total Rewards Strategy:
    • Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with industry standards and company goals.
    • Ensure total rewards strategies are equitable, motivating, and support the attraction and retention of top talent.
    • Regularly review and benchmark compensation and benefits programs to ensure they meet the needs of our diverse workforce.

  2. Compliance and Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risk and support best practices in people operations.
    • Lead audits and compliance reviews, addressing any findings with timely and effective solutions.

  3. HR Systems and Analytics:
    • Oversee the implementation and optimization of HR systems to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
    • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in people-related processes.
    • Partner with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of HR technology.

  4. Strategic Projects and Initiatives:
    • Lead and manage key strategic projects that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
    • Collaborate with the CPO and other senior leaders to design and execute initiatives that support business objectives and enhance organizational culture.
    • Monitor and evaluate the success of strategic projects, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.

  5. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Mentor and develop members of the People Operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
    • Act as a change agent, championing new initiatives and supporting the adoption of best practices.
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on total rewards, compliance, HR systems, and strategic project management.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects and initiatives with successful outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience with HRIS and data analytics tools, with a demonstrated ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for mental health and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Additional Information

The total target cash compensation for this role will be between $170,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and number of years of experience. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits. #LI-HYBRID
