Overview / Objective
The Director of Player Personnel will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Player Personnel
department, including management of pro, college, and non-player personnel functions. In that
capacity, the Director will work with the Player Personnel and Labor Operations staff to safeguard
compliance with the NFL Constitution & Bylaws (“CBL”), the Collective Bargaining Agreement
(“CBA”), and other League rules designed to preserve and enhance the competitive aspects and
integrity of the game.
A candidate must have knowledge of the League’s member clubs and familiarity with the functions
of the NFL’s Player Personnel and Labor Operations departments, including a comprehensive
understanding of the NFL’s player eligibility rules and Draft process, player transactions and roster
limits. The candidate must be able to discuss and advise League personnel regarding Player
Personnel rules and procedures and contribute to strategic projects that are essential to the
League’s integrity and fair play.
Responsibilities
The position reports to the Vice President, Player Personnel and supervises the daily work of the
Player Personnel staff in the following four areas:
Player Personnel
Manage employees to ensure department production and staff growth. Develop ideas for

Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that
the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the
posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of
the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has
experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position,
would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
This is a salaried position; no overtime is paid. The employee can earn a performance bonus,
subject to NFL policy. NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. The employee
must be able to work from the NFL office and beyond standard business hours, including some
weekends and holidays.
