The Director, Product Design for Creator at Roblox is a visionary, strategic leader and organizational builder responsible for defining and driving the user experience strategy across the Creator product ecosystem. This role requires significant cross-Group influence and a deep focus on innovative Studio and Content Platform experiences that accelerate the pace of creation on Roblox.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Creator Experiences, you will lead and inspire a high-performing design team focused on the core creator experience, including collaboration, foundational building tools, simulation, scripting, and emerging Generative AI tooling. As a Design leader, you will collaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, Research, Creator Relations, and Creative teams, ensuring design decisions not only deliver delight and efficiency but also set new industry standards for creative tools and development ecosystems at scale.

You will be the voice of design for company-level initiatives, influencing senior leadership and cross-functional partners to drive the future of innovative, high-craft creation experiences.

You Will:

• Lead the product design team shaping Roblox Studio and Content products.
• Set design vision and strategy: define and communicate Studio-centric goals, success metrics, roadmaps, and long-term direction for immersive, always-on experiences.
• Inspire and mentor a diverse team of designers, raising the bar for craft.
• Build deep partnerships across Product, Engineering, Content Design, and Research to deliver seamless, delightful Studio journeys.
• Represent Design in leadership forums, executive reviews, and partner conversations.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on features impacting safety, civil interaction, accessibility, and product innovation.
• Ensure the implementation of robust design systems and reusable component patterns for scale and consistency.
• Champion experimentation, fast iteration, and data-driven decision making.
• Translate abstract ideas into actionable features, ensuring quality delivery from concept to launch.
• Elevate design standards and system adoption across the org; share best practices and coach others.

You Have:

• 8+ years experience in product design with 5+ years managing senior-level design leaders and designers. 
• Proven leadership in building, growing, and mentoring design teams focused on large-scale, complex products.
• Track record of delivering industry-leading Creation experiences across multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, console, XR, etc.).
• Exceptional craft in visual, motion, prototyping, or 3D design for interactive experiences.
• Skilled in design systems: advocate for holistic component strategies, governance, and scalable documentation.
• Strategic thinking coupled with a systems mindset; able to connect day-to-day work to broader vision and business goals.
• Collaborative, inquisitive, and resilient—skilled at navigating organizational complexity and influencing outcomes.
• Outstanding verbal, visual, and written communicator with executive presence.
• Deeply empathetic to Creators of all kinds (beginner to established studios) and passionate about shaping safe, inclusive, and delightful experiences.
• Experience partnering with research, data science, engineering, and policy/safety teams.
