MLB is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director to join our Strategic Planning team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in creating effective advertising solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, internal stakeholders, and clients/agencies to develop strategic proposals to maximize revenue. Your expertise in media planning and your ability to analyze industry trends will contribute to the success of our advertising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability
  •  Maintain pricing intelligence including environmental trends and knowledge of pricing and market access requirements across customer segments
  •  Identify and anticipate key trends and assess opportunities and risks for pricing strategy development
  •  Lead launch activities related to pricing and/or payment strategies; partnering with teams across organization
  •  Analyzing price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
  •  Assisting in creating promotional campaigns
  •  Develop key pricing initiatives aligned with the platform’s growth and profitability goals
  •  Lead external competitive pricing and offering analysis

You Have

  •  Minimum of 8+ years finance and/or marketing with emphasis on, pricing and/or revenue management experience
  •  A degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business Administration, or related field
  •  Prior experience with a Network in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives and creating pricing process documentation
  •  A strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts
  •  Strong analytical skills, are comfortable dealing with numerical data and a strong attention to detail
  •  Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  •  Experience having managed a subscription business (digital, wireless, etc.)
  •  Ability to thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing, less structured environment
  •  Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain focus and confidentiality
  •  Strong relationship building ability

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees. MLB offers employees a full range of best in class benefits with no employee contributions towards medical, dental, and vision coverage premiums, as well as incentive and recognition programs, life insurance and automatic employer 401k contributions.
