Who You Are

IMG Media are looking for a Strategy director, the role will require a mix of strategy consulting skills and an ability to collaborate within a large, matrix’d organization. A deep understanding of the sports ecosystem and its commercial value drivers is essential.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Develop and manage a range of strategy projects for IMG Media’s clients – including commercial strategies, media rights portfolio strategies, market expansion strategies and more.
• Develop and manage a team of highly skilled and motivated people, providing mentorship and guidance to help them develop professionally
• Collaborate with stakeholders to lead cross-functional initiatives and bring the best of IMG Media and Endeavor to our clients
• Develop and project manage internal strategy initiatives that explore and develop new opportunities for IMG Media to expand regionally. Work with IMG’s leaders to understand local market dynamics and define ways for IMG Media to add value to local and pan-regional customers
• Anticipate and monitor trends in the broader Media space, and leverage this to solve clients’ key business issues
• Use a strong analytical approach to quickly identify and size new business or market opportunities, scope profitable initiatives, and develop compelling business cases
• Bring innovative thinking to solve clients’ challenges, and develop new insights and approaches
• Ideally, experience of developing business cases to support potential M&A/investments
• Use a strong commercial acumen to understand the shifting media landscape, and identify how IMG Media can help clients improve their performance within their ecosystems

You Will Have The Following Strengths

• Experience within strategy consulting within the media and entertainment space
• Ideally experience of consulting or working within strategy / commercial strategy teams for sports rights holders – governing bodies, leagues, federations etc
• Ideally experience of working with broadcasters / streamers within the sports ecosystem
• Inclusive and collaborative leader, working effectively with diverse staff, and stewarding an organizational culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an ability to apply IMG core values to all areas of your work.
• Strong commercial acumen
• A demonstrated growth mindset with ability to create and maintain standards of high performance and accountability, and foster innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.

• Experience in presentation and communication to a range of stakeholders and the ability to ‘bring people along’ on a journey and meeting deadlines 

Working Conditions

• This is a permanent position.
• This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
• Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday 
• May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
• Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
• Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate.
