About the right team member

The Employee Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment by developing and executing strategic internal communications initiatives. This role will focus on enhancing employee engagement, managing internal communications channels, organizing company events, and finding innovative solutions to standardize and potentially automate communication processes. 

About the Role

  • Internal Communication Strategy:  
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy aligned with the company's goals and values.   
    • Craft clear and compelling messages to effectively communicate key company updates, policies, and initiatives to employees.  
    • Create the standards and templates that can be leveraged across the organization for additional communications to ensure consistent messaging and support   
  • Employee Engagement: 
    • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture by creating engaging content that highlights employee achievements, milestones, and success stories.  
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather information and create content that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee recognition.  
  • Communication Channels Management: 
    • Oversee and manage various internal communication channels, including Slack channels, email campaigns, intranet, and other digital platforms.  
    • Keep track of relevant holidays and events for leadership to recognize internally. Plan strategy and ghostwrite message. 
  • Event Planning and Execution: 
    • Together with the Employee Experience Team, plan, coordinate, and execute internal virtual events, such as Wellness Challenges, team-building activities and virtual recognition ceremonies.  
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize events that align with the company's culture and values.  
  • Automation Solutions: 
    • Identify opportunities to automate routine communications and explore innovative tools to streamline internal messaging processes.  
    • Research and implement tools or technologies to automate routine communications, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.  
  • Feedback and Measurement: 
    • Implement mechanisms to gather employee feedback and use data-driven insights to continually improve strategies.  
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives. 

Skills & experience

  • Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, customer marketing or related roles.  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.  
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  
  • Proficient in using various communication tools and platforms (Slack, Outlook, CMS).  
  • Familiarity with automation tools and a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions. 
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.  
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.  
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work (test before send!).  
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Fluency in English.
