We are looking for an Engineering Change Administrator (EC Admin, HW) to join our Operations team in Oulu, Finland. The mission of the Engineering Change Team is to provide high quality change management internally and externally with the required official documentation and to comply with the change traceability requirements. 

In this role you will be responsible mainly for engineering change planning and execution. You will be the main contact to the manufacturing sites on the change management and documentation.  Your closest co-operational teams will be NPI, operational program management, hardware teams in R&D and the other teams in Operations/Supply Chain. You will also contribute to the NPI phase on Product Data Management.

To succeed in this position, you know the principles of Engineering Change Management and Terminology, Product Data and Product Lifecycle Management, such as BOM and Revision Management. You should have the ambition for precision but also the ability to understand the big picture to contribute to the change impact analysis. You are familiar with key business IT systems, such as PDM/PLM and ERP.

Organized ways of working and understanding the process-driven actions will give you good starting points for this position. You also communicate effectively in a peer environment to build up the holistic view in the engineering change and HW product data update situations. Your role focuses on the Engineering Change and HW Product Data Management but may also include a supporting role in the operational HW data coordination.

What will you do:

  • Execute the named responsibilities in ECM Process in co-operation with Technical Project Managers, Mechanic/Electronic Specialists, Firmware Developer, Test Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain and Logistic Team Personnel
    • ECR change investigation
    • ECN implementation planning
    • ECN/Waiver releases
    • Traceability data collection
  • Communicate Engineering Changes to the manufacturing sites
  • Manage the HW product data in the NPI phases
  • Assisting in operational PDM
  • Establish yourself throughout the multi-functional Oura teams
  • Team up your key contacts in HW, in program management and in supply chain teams to drive Oura Product Data and Engineering Change Management processes
  • Coordinate HW product data management according to Program/Project and ECM process requirements

We would love to have You on our team, if

  • B.Sc./M.Sc  in Industrial Engineering and Management or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering change management, product data management or related field
  • Demonstrated Knowledge and skills in principles of item/BOM Management
  • Problem solving skills and attention to details
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability for holistic thinking via facts and details
  • Co-operative, patient and supporting attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

We also appreciate it if you have prior experience in any of the following areas:

  • Teamcenter PDM/PLM and ERPs like NetSuite
  • Wearable consumer products
