As an Engineering Tech Lead at Betsson Group, your primary responsibilities will be geared towards driving technical excellence in our Marketing Technology products. You will serve as a bridge between the domain architect(s) and engineering teams, facilitating technical design, decisions and delivery. Being a technical expert, you will actively support our managers in building world class engineering teams. This is a hands-on role, where you will have frequent opportunities to research new technologies, lead technical investigations and develop POCs for new ideas, and will actively participate in key technical initiatives. 

You’re good at

• 5+ year’s experience in software or web development 
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering (optional)  
• Solid understanding of PHP / Python using modern frameworks such as Symfony / CakePHP / Laravel / Django 
• Solid understanding of JavaScript using modern frameworks such as VueJS / Angular 
• Culturally aware and sensitive – an understanding of cultural differences within and across markets
• High attention to detail
• Strong time management & organisational skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently
• Ability to multi-task. 
• Ability to create and manage your own to-do list
• An eye for design.
•  Strong English communication skills given the central role
  
  

It would be awesome if you have experience with: 

• MySQL & AWS Redshift
• Apache Kafka

• Conducting an evaluation of system architecture with an emphasis on the design 
• Performing on-call service.
• Choosing the best tools and technologies the team requires to meet the business needs.
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
• Designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process
• Monitoring systems for malicious activity.
• Managing the IT infrastructure.
• Ensuring system availability
• Integrating and connecting application elements (APIs, libraries, SDKs, etc.)
