We are looking for a skilled Engine/Tools Programmer to join our Belgrade-based team working on an exciting unannounced project. You will focus on building and optimizing tools and systems that empower our development team to create high-quality games more efficiently. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a fresh project while collaborating with passionate professionals in game development.
We seek someone with strong C++ programming skills, a deep understanding of game engine architecture, and at least 3 years of professional experience in game development. Develop and maintain in-house tools to support the game development pipeline, including asset processing, content creation, debugging, and performance profiling tools.
Collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to understand their needs and deliver solutions that streamline workflows and increase productivity.
Optimize the performance and memory usage of engine and tools code.
Contribute to the design and implementation of engine systems, ensuring they are scalable, flexible, and maintainable.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and design documentation to ensure high-quality solutions.
Solve complex technical challenges and improve development efficiency by addressing bottlenecks and other obstacles in the engine.
Strong C++ programming skills.
At least 3 years of professional experience in game development or engine programming.
Experience with modern game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity, or custom engines).
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of content creation tools, asset pipelines, and development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
English language proficiency (B2 or higher).
Familiarity with scripting languages.
Experience with real-time engine profiling and debugging tools.
Knowledge of modern game engine architecture and systems.
Experience with optimizing game content creation or asset management pipelines.
Understanding of multiplayer/networked systems.
Hybrid: 3 days per week in our Belgrade office.
