Based in the studio in Berlin, you'll be part of a global team supporting top-tier esports productions around the world. As a key member of the Esports Operations Team, your day-to-day work will be rooted in our Berlin studio, where you'll collaborate closely with players, teams and our onsite production. While most of your time will be spent at our cutting-edge facility, you'll also have the opportunity to travel occasionally to support major live events on site.

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our Esports Operations team at BLAST. In this role, you’ll provide direct support to the Esports Operations Manager across a wide range of compliance and operational responsibilities. You’ll help drive day-to-day compliance operations: from conducting investigations and drafting rulings to maintaining case documentation and developing procedural guidelines, while also assisting with the coordination of match operations, team logistics, and player experience initiatives. This position sits at the intersection of competitive integrity, operations and player support, offering the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams to ensure BLAST’s esports ecosystem operates with consistency, transparency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Esports Compliance Operations

  • Provide day-to-day operational and project coordination support for the Esports Rules & Compliance team
  • Handling of investigations and disciplinary proceedings relating to infringements of competitive regulations, ensuring proper administration
    • Preparing comprehensive investigative reports
    • Drafting memos and rulings
    • Organizing and managing procedural calendars and documents
  • Drafting disciplinary correspondences (formal letters, correspondence, formal warnings, notices, and other compliance-related letters)
  • Assisting in drafting policies and procedural guidelines
  • Compiling and analyzing data related to compliance cases, behaviour checks and produce quarterly and annual esports compliance reports
  • Assist projects that aim to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the esports compliance program

Esports Operations Coordination

  • Supporting Esports Match preparations and team communication
    • Developing timeline for match week tasks (e.g. roster locks, line up submissions)
    • Communicate deadline and requirements to participating teams
    • Verify team compliance with lineup and roster submission protocols
  • Coordinating Team/Player Travel and logistics
    • Collect travel data from teams, including player and staff details
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage travel bookings (flights, hotels,
    • transportation)
    • Assist teams with obtaining necessary visas and travel documents
    • Resolve logistical issues related to travel plans
  • Enhancing Player Experience
    • Collaborate with stakeholder to define the player experience goals
    • Develop event-specific plans for accommodations, meals, and transportation
    • Coordinate pre-event briefings for players to communicate expectations

Requirements

  • Educational background in law, paralegal studies, or a related field; experience within a sports or esports organization is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in disciplinary, integrity, or compliance matters within sports or esports environments
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical abilities, and attention to detail
  • Excellent reading comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Previous experience or volunteer work in an esports or sports organization is a plus
  • Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment
