The NBA will discuss accommodations for individuals who cannot be vaccinated due to a medical reason or sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance.   Position Summary: We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of strategic planning and operational oversight for Facilities mission critical infrastructure environments, with a focus on live media broadcast and data centers. This requires a strong acumen in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines in both built environments and workplace design.   In this role, you will be responsible for providing planning and direction for the facilities infrastructure strategy supporting the NBA media and technical operations. A primary focus will be advising, sourcing, and coordinating technical reviews/audits to evaluate infrastructure requirements for league expansions, and oversee Facilities asset management lifecycle planning. You will establish a program management structure across the NBA infrastructure environments, including regional support, ensuring operating business continuity.   You will play a vital role in driving more efficient, effective, and innovative outcomes across operations with defined performance metrics. You will be responsible for delivering industry best practices and project planning with a strategic change management approach and perspective.   Major Responsibilities:  Develop the program management framework inclusive of site assessments, governance structures, stakeholder engagement plans, capital investment planning, and performance metrics required to successfully manage business continuity for facilities infrastructure servicing the NBA’s media and technology operations across NBA domestic/regional offices, where required. Evaluate site resiliency and oversee Facilities critical infrastructure operations. Build Facilities asset management program, assess short-term and long-term project and business risk/opportunities, lead formal risk analysis activities and risk mitigation initiatives.  Establish business continuity plans, standard operating procedures, crisis management incident command center, and site emergency response activities. Act as incident commander upon incident activations and coordinate routine cross-functional testing exercises with internal/external stakeholders’ groups. Manage programs with complex budgets ($MM) and schedules. Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders around League and Affiliate League schedules ensuring risk impacts to business are mitigated and business continuity maintained during infrastructure improvements.  Plan program communications and coordination with internal/ external team members of both technical and non-technical disciplines, ensuring that all business goals, risks, and action plans are clearly defined. Routinely report on status to leaders and stakeholder groups to remain aligned with overall project goals. Perform quality control and monitoring throughout project development. Evaluate methods of procedures (MOP’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to ensure NBA brand standards and compliance with local building codes and regulations are met.  Collect business needs and requirements from key stakeholder groups (Media Operations, IT, Security, Finance) and coordinate strategic priorities within Facilities capital improvement business planning.   Influence program outcomes working closely with internal stakeholders as well as with a vast network of external partners and stakeholders inclusive of engineers, MEP suppliers, architect, general contractor, and all necessary supplier management to achieve defined performance metrics. Lead and advise on technical reviews for all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure projects ranging from existing aged infrastructure environments (renovation in place) to new construction development that vary in size, scope, and scale. Review design plans and drawings, provide feedback ensuring the NBA business needs are met and maintenance is appropriately planned for in workplace design. Coordinate technical infrastructure reviews with internal teams and external consultants for both short-term projects and new media facilities. Drive more efficient/effective innovation focused outcomes, outline strategic priorities; working smarter across project teams to understand day-to-day functions to drive value and increased success. Establish key performance metrics, measure, and report infrastructure program management outcomes through data analytics to senior leadership; solicit buy-in on strategic priorities. Validate project budgets with external estimation, negotiate fees for contracts, and manage cost tracking, schedules, and external services on time and within target. Consistently show innovative ways to challenge the status quo, problem solve, leverage data to inform future planning scenarios, and formulate data analysis with storytelling for leadership review. Assist or in certain instances, lead all sourcing, procurement, and contractual processes necessary to onboard the required resources and execute global projects successfully.   Required Education/Professional Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field  Experience in coordination with media broadcasting, data centers, and/or critical systems environments preferred 8+ years’ experience in MEP engineering, supporting program management for workplace design and project delivery within fast paced organization, preferably with international experience   Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes: Excellent communicator with ability to clearly outline the purpose and benefits of change, listen to feedback, and collaborate with different teams; the role requires stakeholder engagement across all levels, including senior leadership  Experience in coordination with all design disciplines, including Interior Architecture, MEP, AV, Security, and IT  Experience leading technical migrations, workplace strategic shifts, problem solving, staying calm under pressure, and managing the change cycle Strong project management proficiencies and experience working with various project management approaches, tools, and reporting  Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
