NOBULL is currently seeking a Footwear Design Director to lead and inspire a group of talented and creative designers. This individual will grow and mentor a team and collaborate closely with their counterparts across Apparel, Accessories, Graphics, Color and Product Development. As a part of this motivated and ambitious team, you will bring your personal experiences in the industry, to bring new products and technologies to life.
A portfolio is required during application for this role, and we look forward to reviewing your work. We love seeing your finished products but are even more excited to see where you get your inspiration, your sketches and anything else that is part of your design process. Responsibilities:Lead and manage footwear designers across various categories, projects, and initiatives.Act as an inspirational and reliable mentor, leader, and coach to your team.Lean into all aspects of design and product creation and cross-functional work with color, graphics, materials, and innovation.Act as a thought partner to design leadership and help shape our long-term strategy.Collaborate with Graphics + Color team to establish graphics, all-over prints, graphic color-ups, mood boards, themes, and overarching strategic vision.Lead in-depth research in order to drive innovative design solutions.Qualifications: 10+ years’ experience in footwear design, preferably in athletic or activewearExperience with creative direction and strategic design work.Experience working with color, color-ups, and graphics.Well-versed in footwear terminologyStrong working knowledge of performance footwear technologyBachelor's Degree in a design field OR equivalent relevant experienceExperience hiring and leading a teamFluent in hand sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesignPositive energy and the ability to inspire teammates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentIndependently motivated, proactive, and resourcefulMust be able to handle a significant amount of projects while maintaining development timelines and deadlines and work distribution among team membersStrong written, verbal, and visual communication skillsOccasional travel to AsiaIf you are an applicant located in California, please review our California Applicant Privacy Notice, which explains the categories of personal information that we collect and the purposes for which we use such personal information
