Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Front End UI Developer who will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for our Fortnite Creative projects. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE UNREAL ENGINE and UEFN capabilities and limitations and will be able to create intuitive, visually appealing, and functional UI elements that enhance player experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers to create engaging UI designs that align with the overall game vision.
• Design and implement UI elements such as menus, HUDs, buttons, icons, and overlays within the UEFN ecosystem.
• Ensure UI designs are optimized for performance and usability across various devices and platforms.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
• Maintain consistency in visual design and ensure a cohesive user experience throughout the game.
• Stay updated on the latest UI design trends and best practices, particularly within the context of UEFN.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues during development and post-launch.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a UI Developer, preferably in game development.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and UEFN capabilities and limitations, including Blueprint scripting for UI.
• Experience with designing and implementing UI for various screen sizes and resolutions.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate on designs effectively.
• Passion for gaming and an understanding of Fortnite Creative mode.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in front-end development languages and frameworks (e.g.,Verse JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, C++, Python).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Experience with UEFN and knowledge of its UI framework.
• Familiarity with Fortnite Creative and its player community.
• A portfolio showcasing previous UI design work, particularly within game development.
