We're looking for a technical lead to build, own, and continuously evolve our company-level frontend infrastructure platform. You'll oversee the entire frontend engineering ecosystem — not just building tools and platforms, but driving engineering standards across the company through technical influence, and leading the team's evolution from tool users to system builders in the AI era.
Core Responsibilities
Team & Organization Own the frontend infrastructure team end-to-end: hiring, development, and pipeline building. Define the team's technical roadmap and drive cross-team collaboration across Product, Backend, Architecture, and Security.
Frontend Infrastructure Lead the design and evolution of the company-level frontend infrastructure, including: component libraries and design systems, engineering toolchains (scaffolding, build systems, CI/CD), monitoring and observability platforms, performance optimization frameworks, cross-platform architectures, and micro-frontend systems.
AI & Intelligent Engineering Deeply integrate AI into the full frontend R&D lifecycle. Lead the team's evolution from "using AI tools" to "building AI-native engineering systems." Drive team and individual AI working patterns, and implement intelligent R&D workflows grounded in Spec-Driven Development methodology.
Technical Governance Define frontend technical standards and security policies. Drive tech stack alignment and evolution across the company. Systematically identify and address technical debt. Ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and security at scale.
Influence & Evangelism Build frontend technical credibility at the company level. Engage with the broader industry externally. Attract high-potential engineering talent.
Baseline
-
Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field; top university or top-tier tech company background preferred; 12+ years of frontend development experience including 6+ years managing scaled technical teams (20+ engineers)
-
Proven track record leading frontend infrastructure for products with DAU 10M+ or platforms handling extreme traffic scale; deep understanding of large-scale engineering complexity and reliability
-
Expert-level command of the full frontend stack: modern frameworks (React/Vue to internals level), compiler toolchains (custom Webpack/Vite/Rollup development), runtime performance optimization, cross-platform architectures (Web / mini-programs / RN / Flutter), and Node.js
-
Complete experience building frontend technical governance: R&D standards, quality gates, technical debt management, and canary release infrastructure
-
Extensive cross-BU, cross-team technical collaboration experience; proven ability to land company-wide standards through technical influence rather than administrative authority
Engineering Competencies for the AI Era (Core)
-
Strong ability to frame and model complex problems; defines the right boundaries and abstractions — not just implements features
-
Cross-layer judgment: balances business objectives, model capabilities, and system costs under constraint
-
Proven ability to constrain, guide, and evaluate AI outputs — decomposing complex requirements into AI-executable task sequences
-
Experience establishing team-level AI working patterns, including redefining code review mechanisms and quality standards in an AI-assisted environment
-
Familiar with and having practiced AI Spec-Driven Development; able to embed this methodology into the frontend engineering system
-
Maintains high standards for code quality and system design integrity alongside AI-assisted development
Soft Skills
-
Strong technical judgment — makes correct architectural decisions in complex, ambiguous environments
-
Strong ownership — self-driven to land complex cross-organizational initiatives
-
Clear, structured communication — conveys technical value effectively to diverse audience. Bilingual: fluent English for technical discussions, documentation, and international collaboration (written and verbal at working proficiency)
