We have a vacancy for a Senior Software Engineer (full stack with Java and Angular) to join our Tooling team.  We are looking for smart people with a knowledge and passion for sports and great programming skills.

What does the job involve?

 You join the Sports Tooling team, an experienced, informal and enthusiastic scrum team of 6 developers. The team is responsible for the development of sports tooling that are used by many content operators simultaneously to enter and deliver Sports data to our global clients
 

The products that the Tooling team are working on are: 

  • Team sports Application: An Angular-based tool with Java as the backend and MS SQL as the database. This is used by the Content Team to input various sports data like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, etc in various formats as required by our clients.

  • Supporting Applications: This includes the Sports Entity Management, Global Sports Data Explorer, QC Dashboard and others all of which manage various aspects of our comprehensive sports data.

 Examples of projects you will be working on in the next year:

  • Onboarding new sports like Ice hockey and others from Low level to very High Level Coverage in the data entry tooling

  • Onboarding Leagues and other important entities on Sports Entity Management.

  • Creation of a more robust queuing mechanism on the front-end by use of Indexed DB, AWS SQS and creating load tests to ensure stability and smooth performance.

  • Working with state of the art techniques (Angular, Java, MS SQL, React, Node.js, AWS Lambda e.g.)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • at least 3 years of experience in Java 

  • at least a year working experience with Angular

  • minimum of 5 years of experience as a programmer

  • experience with ES6, AWS, CICD pipelines, 

  • write unit tested code, playwright regression code as part of standard coding practices

  • energetic team player

  • experience working in an Agile environment.

  • good communication skills and able to share his/her knowledge with the team.

  • good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.

  • B.E / B.Tech / BCA/ MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

Furthermore, it is an advantage if you:

  • Have experience with MS SQL and Playwright

  • Have experience with API’s, JSON(P) and XML

  • Have an affinity with sports

  • Are used to working with the scrum framework

  • Like to understand and brainstorm about architecture

  • Experience in working on public cloud environments like AWS, Azure w.r.t. solutions development, deployment & adoption of cloud based technology components like IaaS / PaaS offerings.
